I’ve compiled a list of my top recommendations to help you plan your trip and the best travel resources you’ll need throughout your journey. Here you’ll be able to find anything from what to pack to resources for bookings and more.
I only recommend products and resources I have used and been pleased with.
Accommodation Resources
Booking.com– An excellent platform for finding and booking accommodation because of its many options, competitive prices, and user-friendly features—my personal favorite due to the Genius loyalty program.
Hotels.com– Similar to Booking.com, and offers a reward night for every 10 nights you book with the platform.
Hostelworld– A top choice for budget-conscious travelers, offering a wide range of affordable accommodations and a reliable platform that makes it easy to find and book hostels worldwide.
Excursion and Activity Resources
Viator– This is a very popular choice for booking excursions! Whether you want to do a photo shoot, day cruise, or bar crawl, this is a great platform.
Flight Resources
Expedia– This is a great resource to find the best flight prices.
Transportation Resources
Discover Cars– This car rental platform offers customers a wide range of vehicle options, competitive prices, and outstanding customer support, making it a preferred choice for travelers seeking reliability and convenience.
Ferryhopper– This is what I use to book my ferries in Greece. This source also supports other countries, such as Italy and Spain.
Uber– Alternative to taking a taxi and offers the convenience of scheduling rides in advance.
Lyft– Similar to Uber. You can use the previous link for a discount on your first rides.
FlixBus– Widely known for its immense network, comfortable buses, and affordable fares, it is an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective transportation options across Europe and the U.S.
Omio– With a seamless booking process and comparisons of different transportation options, Omio provides travelers with convenience, flexibility, and cost savings.
Tour Operator Resources
Contiki– If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, Contiki offers group trips with over 350 itineraries. Whether you’re a solo traveler, nervous about exploring a new place alone, or want to meet new people, this is an excellent option. You can book an unforgettable trip here.
G Adventures– Similar to Contiki, G Adventures is another tour operator offering over 700 itineraries. Unlike Contiki, the lowest age limit is six years old, but no other age restrictions exist. However, to go by yourself, you must be at least 18. Book your trip around the world here.
