Tour Overview

One of the first great perks of this tour is that it offers free transportation to the starting point. However, if you are staying in Oia or Finika, you must get transport to the Fira Bus Station unless you speak with your tour guide about a different option.

The tour begins at the ATV lot, where your guide will have a tutorial showing you all you need to know to drive the ATV. This will be at 9:30 AM or 5:00 PM, depending on your time slot. You will then follow your guide in a line to Perissa Beach.

After Perissa Beach, the next destination will be the village of Emporio. Here, you can wander the village and learn interesting facts from the guide. In addition, you’ll see the Venetian Castle, a 15th-century castle that is one of the five preserved castles on the island.

Next, the charming village of Megalochori will be visited. This traditional, picturesque village provides the opportunity to see the stunning blue domes and whitewashed houses without many tourists. You’ll be given time to walk around, explore, and participate in a wine tasting.

On this tour, you even get to see the Heart of Santorini. This site has a rock formation with a uniquely shaped heart carved into it, looking into Santorini’s stunning caldera. It’s also a hidden gem; we were the only people there then!

I recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty for the tour. You will navigate through some off-road paths that’ll pick up dust. In addition, wearing sunglasses or a dust mask will be helpful!

Something that separates this tour from the first is the lunch offered. This tour provides participants lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant with seafood, locally sourced produce, and wine or raki. This may be the deciding factor if you want an experience with more Greek cuisine.

This tour starts at 1:00 PM, offering another time for this activity if the times from the first tour do not work for you. And although this tour’s duration is 30 minutes shorter than the other tour, you still get 3 hours to explore Santorini and its hidden gems! It’s still an excellent excursion to go on!

What Are the Requirements for Renting an ATV in Santorini?
